Hey yall,
Can anyone tell me if there is a big differnce in the room in a Migrator blind compared to a Final Approach Legacy? Im really more concerned with lenth wise....I looked in Macks but it didnt have the dimentions when its fully extended...Ive never been able to get in one. Im 6'8", so its hard to find one that really fits.. Thanks Guys..

webfoot1,Checkout the link above. The Migrator is Averys ''Bigboy'' blind. We have some prostaffers that are some pretty big fellas that hunt out of Powerhunters, Finishers as well as Migrators.
The Migrator, does give you more room, but with the boot bags on these blinds, I dont think you would have any problem.
Good luck on your decision and hope you have a great season!

webfeet1,

We have several Prostaffers that are in the 6'/6" to 6'/8". They all love the Migrator. Some of them are rather big fellas and they really like the wide opening in the cockpit. I strongly suggest getting in one and trying it out for yourself.

Webfeet1,

Jed and Rick give some good advice! The Migrator is our "Big guy" blind and some of our bigger Prostaffers love them. There is plenty of space in the cockpit and the length is around 7 feet long. I don't think you will have a problem with fitting in this blind. Another blind I would suggest checking out is a PowerHunter! The is an awesome all around blind and there is no cockpit to constrict your comfortably.

Thanks,

The boot bag is a new item we have out. It is very similar to a sleeping bag, but fits perfectly into a finisher or migrator. We used one a little bit up in Canada and man I can tell you that it was VERY warm and comfortable! It will be perfect for that cooold and windy day's

Travis,

Now the truth comes out. No wonder you didn't want to come out of your blind on that cold and windy morning. That's okay though. I got some great shots of you in the blind.

Hey guys thanks for all the info. Just one more question... Is the Migrator pretty good about keeping dampness out? See I have a Legacy blind now and it does a great job of keeping water out but its still pretty short for me.
Thanks, webfeet1

webfeet1,

I know you specifically asked about "dampness" but here's the skinny on "moisture management and the Migrator." The word “waterproof” applies to products that can be submerged in water and not leak so the Migrator is not “waterproof”. The Migrator’s 900D polyester cover is water-resistant which means that it will keep you dry in rain, sleet and snow if you close the doors. The Migrator’s seams are not waterproof so the blind will take on water if it is submerged. Using a NeoTub is one way to keep your Migrator dry when hunting in up to 8” of water. If you are asking about moisture coming from below, the Migrator's PVC-backed, Polyester floor will keep you dry. I have been hunting out of Avery Blinds since the first Finishers hit the market and I have yet to have the inside of any of my blinds wet from anything other than my own boots and spilled coffee.

Hope this helps...

Thanks,

I hunt in a Power Hunter and have not gotten moisture inside the blind, except from my own doing.

I have recently hunted along side of some sheet water in my finisher. Where I laid my blind down there was standing water. Not a lot probably an inch. My finisher over the course of a couple of hours never became totally wet. Along the seams it was damp, but you wouldn't of needed waders inside. So Rob is right to say they are not waterproof. To say they are extremely water resistent is right on. You would have to seam seal everything and then put some form of membrane or silicone spray on the whole blind to make it waterproof.
