Avery boys-
First I want to say that I appreciate your role in revolutionizing the decoy market. Thank you for bringing a new level to decoy making. You guys rock. I just wanted to give a little bit of input here. I just want to put in a word for resting/sleeping/loafing positions for the mallard full bodies yet to come. I know a lot of guys will use feeders for field hunting, but I know of a lot of guys that'll use em for sandbars, ice, and edges of their water setups.
Something like these positions would be the cat's meow!

I couldn't wait for mallard full bodies so I made my own for this season (foamers). Here is five of them in action. I have two sleepers, two resting heads, and the one out in the water is a more alert position. I can't wait til you guys come out with these!

Idahoan, thanks for sharing those pics. The fullbody Mallards are a scheduled project for 05 and I know Freddie and the rest of the guys do alot of research on positions for decoys. All these are great poses and these decoys will be a very hot topic and a great addition to alot of guys duck hunting arsenal in 05.

Like Jed said, Fred and his team do allot of research regarding waterfowl behavior and their body posiitons before carving a decoy. I am sure that they will hit the FB Mallard out of the park when they introduce it.
Thanks for the pics...

Rob Jepson-
I know Freddie and the crew will capture a ton of images and in much higher quality than mine. I know that what they turn out will be right on. My reason for posting was to plead for relaxed positions for the hunting situations I outlined above, because I am pretty sure that feeders will be in order.
Thanks again for listening. That is one of the many reasons you guys rock, you take input from fellow hunters. I can't wait to see what comes down the pipe as far as the full body mallards.
By the way, my GHG floaters have been an absolute joy to hunt over! Thanks!

We will probably be looking at an Active and a Rester pack of fullbody mallards. I know that the Active pack in already in the works for 2005. I am sure Fred has the resters in mind. We do thank you for the input. It adds to urgency to get products done when end users bring up ideas we have in the works.
Thanks,
J Kryspin

I'm loving the talks of the full body mallards. G&H came out with theirs this year for $300/dz. Flambeau has theirs for $150/dz. I'm looking for good things from the GHG crew as usual!

You guy's are going to flip when you see these. And your not going to have to pay anywhere near those prices that you have to now. Fred really wants these to be perfect and I know they will be!

Idahoan,
Those are truly some awesome photos. You know exactly what you are looking for. Fred and myself have takin' a bunch of photos of mallards. Fred found the correct patterns he was looking for and Dick Rhode is hard at work getting the slicks done. I have seen a couple of photos of some of Dick’s progress and these things are unbelievable. They will be the perfect addition to the GreenHead Gear line.
Thanks for posting up!
