I think Avery needs to get target a new market.....kids!

Whenever I go down to my "decoy shed" (a 30x40 barn) I have to put up one of my Finishers for the kids to play in. The 3 year old has to hide and then I have to go looking for him.

Now today I had my Finisher Dog Blind out in the yard training the dog. I had put the dog up and got the boat out to do some work on it. I looked around and couldn't find the 3 year old. I yelled for him and he stuck his head out of the dog blind. About perfect size for him.

Maybe Avery needs to focus on kids.....and that will help the rest of us smooth it over with the wives easier! I can just hear it now, "But honey, I'm buying it for the 3 year old and I'll just borrow it at 4 a.m. when he isn't using it!"

I know exactely what you are saying, I have a 2 year old and 4 year old who love to play in the blinds. I always have to set up two of them.I guess I should have gotten two of the youth Finishers and been done with it.

NWMoHunter,

Jed hit the nail on the head! We have come out with a youth model Finisher Blind especially for the kids. Here is the copy for the blind!

The only hunting blind made especially for kids! The Youth Model Finisher® Blind is 75% of the size of a standard Finisher® with most of the same features. Designed to accommodate young hunters up to 62” tall, the Youth Model Finisher® is a great tool for teaching kids the correct way to hunt from layout blinds without putting them in the same blind with you. The frame is constructed from the same heavy-duty powder coated aluminum tubing that is used on all Avery® blinds, and the outer cover is made from polyurethane coated 600D camouflage polyester on top with a tough PVC-backed 900D polyester floor. The padded seat will adjust to fit any young hunter and is so comfortable that you might have trouble keeping your kid awake during the hunt! Camo mesh FaceFlaps™ allow up-close action without spooking birds. The entire blind weighs only 13 lbs, and it folds to 35” x 13” x 7” for easy over-the-shoulder hauling. Available in Ducks Unlimited Series/Advantage® MAX-4 HD™ and Mossy Oak® Shadow Grass®.

This blind retails for are $149.99

We also have youth size hats as well! We definitely have started to target the youth, as you know, they are the FUTURE of our awesome sport!

Thanks,

Travis Mueller

I watched these leave the stores at a pretty good rate this fall. All that needed to happen was the child seeing it and the rest was history. Heck in my opinion, support these kids as much as possible. They won't get near as discouraged if they are warm and dry in their OWN blind!!!!!

The new youth Finisher is an awesome blind!!! I have one for my eight year old son and will probably have to add another one in a year or two for my three year old daughter. I had my son Kyle out snow goose hunting in it a couple of Saturday's ago, when the windchill was minus 10. He loved it inside "his" blind and never felt the cold. In fact, it was a battle to get him out of the blind and into the truck at the end of the day.

These blinds are a must have for anyone who wants to take kids afield as the kids get to stay warm, comfortable, protected from the elements and have their own piece of hunting equipment that dad can't fit into. (As well, you always know where they are and when they hunker down into the blind, they can twist, turn and fidget all they want and never spook an incoming flock of birds)

Tom also has an eight year old son who he likes to take hunting, so who knows what other innovative products we'll see for kids.

I have seen the Youth Finisher in action and it is the real deal. It is perfect for fathers who want to hunt with their younger sons. It is very easy for the younger generation to maneuver around in it. It is also easy for the kids to flip the lids and come up shooting. It is amazing to see the look on a kid's face when he or she knows that there is a blind that is just his or hers. Avery will continue to focus on a product line that will cater to this younger generation.

Good Hunting!

My daughter (almost 4) likes to set up the power hunter in our living room and watch tv from inside of it, she thinks that no one can find her, if she's in there. In a couple years, I'll be inthe market for some youth stuff myself...wife says that we have to wait a couple more years before my daughter and son (age 1) can come along with me.
