We have recently purchased nine dozen GHG fullbodies. When putting them together the Realfoot bases took some huffing to get in. In fact we had one of the springs snap and now the base is broken. I was just wondering if anyone else was having these types of problems, or if there is a warranty towards these types of things. Impressed with the look of the decoys just not the way they assemble.
Anyone give me your two cents or what we can do about the broken base.

Alex,
I have assembled about 10 dozen full bodies including my 4 dozen today. I did not have any problems. I matched the "A" RealFeet foot bases to my "A" body and my "B" RealFeet foot bases to my "B" body. I know some of the earlier full bodies were slightly deformed from shipping. Guys were simply heating the full bodies up with direct sunlight and/or hair dryer. This will soften the plastic. After the plastic is more pliable pull up on the edge of the hole and assemble the full body. Make sure you read the directions before you assemble the heads and bodies. Warm soapy water will make this job quick and easy. I have attached information so you can contact the Avery Customer Service Department to repair your RealFeet foot base.

Hi Alex,
This problem can be resolved easily. Some of the FB decoys (the ones at the bottom of the container) were subject to both weight from the boxes of decoys placed on top of them and high temperatures inside the container. These two factors combined to "close" the opening of the RealFoot bases slightly on some decoys. Since ALL GHG Full Body Decoys are prefitted with their bases before they ship from the factory, then this is not a manufacturing defect, and there are two easy solutions that Avery and the Pro-Staff have used to correct it.
First, since the polyethylene is somewhat maleable, just lift up (from the inside) on the front and rear of the foot base hole on the decoy. This will generally yield enough pressure to reshape the hole to accomodate the RealFoot base.
A second method would be to employ heat from a hair dryer to the same areas as above and then pull up on those designated areas.
As for replacement parts, please contact the Avery Customer Service Dept. @ 800-333-5119
Thanks,
Rob Jepson
