I know this has been touched on before as part of other posts but figured I would try a poll to better gauge the actual interest.

I don't know about a 6 pack... I was thinking somthing like a 4 pack, I know I wouldn't need all 6 sleepers. Just a few for a bank or sand bar..

I wasn't really thinking of all 6 being sleepers. I was thinking more along a line of sleepers heads both M & F and various relaxed head positions. Maybe even a preener head position. Basically any head position one can think of on birds loafing on the ice, shoreline, or on a log.

I don't know if we need these resters/sleepers to be fullbodies. Just as GHG has done with Canada shells (sleeper/rester heads), they could easily do for mallards. The advantages of the shells (lighter/cheaper/stackable) outweigh any small amount of added realism that you have in a fullbody when it comes to sleeping/resting positions.
My vote is for mallard shells in addition to their fullbodies. My two dozen mallard fullbodies are gonna be a hoot to hunt over. Now, sleeper shells for the ice...

Yes, no, and maybe! :D
In the case of the fullbody mallards (also true for the other three) you would not want the realmotion bases but foot bases. So unless Avery also came out with a foot base that could also fit the existing mallard bodies then I would see a need for a full 6 pack. They could probably modify the existing bodies to except a foot base thus reducing their added expense and time of a whole new mold.
In the case of Canada geese I believe Avery has already stated they plan to come out with a sleeper, but to be truly correct in its' position it would be a whole new body to go with the sleeper head. (Avery staff correct me if I am wrong on this.) The same could probably be said of a sleeper mallard, snow and speck.

Funny you shopuld ask...I just bought a dozen from Hardcore. If they look good enough I'll probably get two more dozen to go with the Eberhart full body Pintails.

rather then come out with a foot base to stop the motion why couldn't a stop be designed for the current system. That way you could have the best of both worlds movement and no movement. Foot bases would take up to much space in my opinion.

Then again what do I know, I'm just a waterfowl addict

Yes that would be an option and would get these out a lot faster if all that was required were new head positions. Personally I would still like to see foot bases for them. Now having said that, I would set up a spread with some on and off the foot bases for variety.

Yes you can just take the decoy of the stake and sit it on the ground and that is very effective, however I am like to have some decoys on the ground and some sleepers and resters that look like they are standing. Instead of designing a foot base for the decoy you could just use the current motion system but have some devise that you can incert to stop the movement. We hunt sand bars as well as corn fields but I would much rather have the motion in the field and not on the sand. The stand that GHG is using is portable and light to add foot bases to the mallard decoys in my opinion would be a waist of time, effort and money.

was out watching ducks in Anchorage before freeze up. I never noticed until now that almost all the ducks were in a sleeping position rather than with heads alert. Why do manufacturerus put deke heads in the alert position??? Only a few can be like that. I am going to load up on resters, sleepers etc.
