On my way home from work, I thought I would stop in at my lake and see how the progress was going. They are in the process of doing some dam work therefore it must be drained. The first thing that caught my eye was literally thousands of crawfish crawling across the mud.
I grew up in the south so instantly my mouth began to water. I gathered up nearly 80 pounds of them in twenty minutes.

A few good pinches made me go for a pair of gloves. The only pair I could find was my Avery gauntlet length neoprene pair. So, as it was they worked flawlessly.

So who knows maybe there will be some lobster gloves in the future for Avery?? :D :D

You never know when products will work for things that you would never think of. Thanks for the post and enjoy the catch.

They all seem to have blue claws? I've never seen that before.. They look more like crabs than crawfish..

Dan, No we moved about 400 big fish plus ALOT of little guys a couple weeks back. We probably moved 120 bass between 3 and 8 pounds.
JEDJR I don't know if its the elevation or cold water but they are a diffrent and they grow BIG!
Mark I have never caught a smalley out of it but the Largemouth bass are healthy! If I can find some pictures of some of the bass I have hauled out of there I will post um up. The biggest one is close to 9 pounds, yes believe it or not ..in Colorado.

Chris,
Did I ever mention to you that I have this little out of the way hunting place in Devils Lake, ND?
They taste so good when they hit your lips.

Chris I bet people driving by were wondering what in the world was going on. When I was little we used to eat them, and I honestly think they taste no different than those big red ones down south.

I will be thinking of them after every bite. :D

Chris,
It looks like you found another good use for an Avery product. I'll have to remember this one the next time I help run the traps!
