I'm looking at buying a couple dozen GHG shells w/ the flocked heads, but I don't see an anchor point to stake em down in bad wind. How do you anchor them down?

I have some GHG snowgoose shells, and I have never had to anchor them down. These shells are about 1/4 inch thick, very heavy and well made.
We hunted afew days of really bad wind, 25-35 mph last year, and while my old G&H shells were sliding around on the ice, my GHG stayed right where I put them.

I have never had to stake mine down either.
I have seen other people drill a small hole in the front about an inch up from the bottom to stake them. If you absolutely have to stake them, this is what I would do.
Thanks,

Boy I don't think it will be necessary. Rick lives where it is never calm, and we never have had a problem.

I never have needed to stake these decoys down..Put the motion systems on 85% of my shells, they look awsome in the wind

I have not needed to stake them down but if you do have them drilled for the Universal Motion Stakes and really needed to you can always stake them down through the top of the decoy down with the motion stake or if you do not want the spring exposed you can always modify stakes to hold down the decoys. I have been out on frozen ground in very windy days and never had to worry about them.
