Guys, What would you think of a '' Fred Zink Signature Series'' of fullbodies in appreciation for all of Freddie's innovations, accomplishments hard work and devotion to Avery/GHG and the sport of goose hunting?
Maybe with a collared Goose with the Avery/GHG logo on it with Fred's Signature?
Any thoughts?

I think that would be nice, something in a special pose. Possibly each year add a new pose to the series. Or maybe a pair with a new pair offered each year. I know I would love a stretching goose.

SOLD!!! I like the idea....JJ hit it on the head...a stretching goose would be a sweet addition as well as a collared bird as suggested by JEDJR.
But, since it would be Freddie's series....I am SURE he would come up with something better than just about anything we could come up!!!
I think they would sell quite well...three reasons - Fred Zink's name on it, made by AVERY / GHG, and it would be a different pose than what is offered in the 6 packs.

That sounds great. I'd love to see a new pair with diff. poses each year. I know I'd buy some, and I know they'd look awesome.

Guys,
We have talked about this at several times over the last year. We have even talked about what body positions. Fred is pretty modest about his accomplishments. He said doesn't need the notoriety. I think this is something we need to do. We just need to convince him.
Thanks,

I know one retailer that is begging to have Freddie come out with them.

Thanks,Rick, I agree, The biggest part will be convincing him. Fred is modest when it comes to his accomplishments in this industry and to achieve so much in such a short time.
He puts 110% into everything he does, so the entire line of GHG decoys for that matter could be a signature series .
I have said it before that I dont know anyone who has waterfowling in their blood like Fred Zink. It was just something he was meant to do. Between Avery and Zink calls, 24/7 describes Fred best.
Maybe with Tom's help, We can get him convienced to do it.
Modest or not, He's earned it!

This is a great idea. His hard work over the past four years deserves all of the recognition that we can give him. New body positions would be awesome for these decoys. Hopefully something is on the way.

,In my opinion, Fred already have the notoriety. his accomplishements are a motivation for most. I would love to see a Zink's signature serie, but we must be original.

I can tell you it's not going to happen because of several reasons: 1) it has been done by another manufacturer - didn't make much sense in my opinion, but it's been done; 2) Fred would not propose to do it, and if I asked him to do it he would not want to; and 3) every goose body and head he carves has his name all over them and on the bottom as well.
I can promise you that he is humbled by this thread, but he would feel more comfortable if it just went away. You guys have Fred Zink "signature series" decoys already!

Tom,
I agree with you,it has been done by another manufacturer. Avery MUST STAY original.

Though I think it would be an honor for Freddie, I doubt he would want it. I think all he cares about is smacking geese and helping others smack them.

Fine with me but I would still like to see a stretching bird to add to the mix.

I can see where you guys are comming from and I would love to see new poses as well but, as been stated in several other posts concerning decoys Fred has developed a case of carpal tunnel and I'm sure the last thing he wants to do is carve even more just to honor himself. That dosn't even make sense. I think that the last thing you would want to do to honor someone is to tell them to go work even harder and fill his work plate up even more. I think that the best way to honor Fred and his dedication to our belovede way of life is with a simple thank you and to continue to buy and use the products that he has developed to go uout and pursue our happiness in the waterfowl fields and enjoy the sucesses that his work has helped with. With that said Thank you Fred. I can't wait to see what you got up your sleeves next.

How about a series of 24/7 wearables? I feel that the videos and the term describe how most of us feel about waterfowling!

Sorry guys, I missed the post about Fred's carpel tunnel......sorry to hear about that, I'm a musician and have played the guitar for 31 years and have it myself......maybe if someone else could design it that would be great.....like was said before, I guess the real way to honor him is to continue to support the Zink crew by using and promoting their great products and can't wait to see the next 24-7 DVD for next year......keep up the great work guys!!!!!!!!!
