Hey guys,
I read on a post that the new Lesser/Speck 6 slots include a sizable cargo pocket...this is a cool thing...however...where I live, we don't have Specks or Dinks so I'm high and dry on the nicety of a cargo pocket...or am I?
I plan on having a dozen oversized floaters for the upcoming season. So here is my question...It has a couple parts to it so hang in there...
It is a given that the floaters fit in the STANDARD 6 slot full body goose bag. However, does anyone know if the oversized Canada Floaters will fit into the new '05 Lesser/Speck bags?
If the answer is yes...then that is great news for us water spread guys...for two reasons...First is the obvious...they are 5 dollars cheaper (that's 10 bucks cheaper for the 2 I will require)...second we are now afforded the extra storage of the cargo pocket while at the same time reducing the overall dimensions of the actual bag...perhaps making it a space saver in the Pickup/SUV (or the 1988 Ford Taurus sedan...Bwahaha...don't laugh...it runs).
Hopefully one of you staffers will give me the good news...If not, I'll probably still buy the bigger standard bags. After all, it is a great product regardless of the dimensions and lack of cargo pouch.
Thanks guys.
Scary
P.S.- If this question has already been asked on another post...Please excuse my ignorance and bare with me...I'm new.

I should clarify that I'm talking about the 6-Slot Snow Goose Bag... Until I saw them at a retail website I thought they were called Lesser/Speck Bags.
Waiting on your replies...As soon as I find out the answer to this question, Avery is getting my entire bank account (literally the whole thing). It's a tough life. But someone's gotta kill these things right?
Anxiously awaiting

Scary, Maybe a TM should answer this to be 100% sure, but just by looking at the new 6 slot bags, I dont think the Oversize floaters will fit in the slots.
These bags were designed for the smaller Speck Snow and Lesser fullbodies.

Scary, For that very little cash difference I would defenitely go with the 6 slot goose, you know for sure that your floaters will fit.

I have the office checking to see if the Over-Size Canada goose floater will indeed fit in the 6-slot snow/lesser/speck decoy bag. We are going to have to put you into a holding pattern until we find out.
I will let you know as soon as I hear anything.
Thanks,

Thanks guys...Waiting indeed...
I don't mind to spend the extra dollarfor the bigger ones but it's just that...They are bigger. If I can get away with the smaller ones, I'd like to because it means less space in the vehicle and more room for MORE STUFF! Thanks a lot for your help. I'm impressed that you guys actually got the office looking into it for me. That's very cool of you guys. I'm beginning to see what all the hype is about. This forum is awesome.
Thanks again Rick,

Scary,
If you do any field hunting for Canadas, don't overlook the new Lesser Full Bodies. The new GHG Lessers are slightly over-sized and the perfect size for adding realism to any goose spread on all of the flyways. I plan on adding a few dozen to my spread this year. The new Lessers also have different head positions then the GHG Full Bodies. The more head and body positions you add to your spread, the more life you add to your spread. Thanks again for your interest in Avery/GHG products.
The 6-Slot Avery Full Body Bags work great for the Over-Size Floaters. I used them last season for storing and tranporting my GHG O.S. Floaters.

Thanks guys...
I really appreciate the effort to find that out for me...although is wasn't really the answer I was looking to hear...LOL. It's cool though. I'm still gonna get two of the standard Goose bags. I can't see any way around having them.
Please tell Fred I said thanks for his time on that one.
Wow...I feel all important now. FRED said they don't fit...y'all hear that?
Cool thanks again guys...Sending my order in right now...at 2:23 am. You think Mack's will be happy to hear from me?
Up on the bill will be:
First and foremost - 1/2 a dozen BLACK DUCKS BABY!
Next - 2 Goose Bags...the biggins...
Next - I'm feelin' like some Pro Grades
Whew...Avery is getting two whole paychecks...There goes my savings...
I love being the little guy. I hear about guys getting four dozen FFD Elites and Bags for all of them, and I think to myself, dang that would be awesome. Then I think of what it is that I do. I take all of the little bit of money that I have, I get as much of the best gear as I can afford (which is 6 Black duck decoys, 6 Goose FB's and 2 bags) to add to the 2 dozen 04 Mallards and the 4 Canada Floaters that I already own. And then...I swear to everything good and decent in this world...
I'm going to kill some birds.
The beautiful thing about Avery is that the products weren't designed to be used in any predetermined size spread. Me and my whopping 10 goose decoys ARE GOING TO KILL plenty of geese. I sold all of my old decoys to get these too. Some people have accused me of being insane for getting rid of over two and a half dozen goose decoys just to turn around and get ten of them.
Lemme tell you all somethin';
Would you rather hunt over 35 Flambeaus or 5 live geese?
Gimme a break...
I'll bet I could take that one real tall FFD Elite looker and stand that son of a gun out in about 6 inches of water and murder residents on opening day...I know I could. When you have a decoy that looks that much like a real bird, "quite frankly, that's all you need".
This is my official thank you to Avery for being the best decoy company in the world. When I was a kid, I dreamt of making the perfect decoy...one that looked so real that even people couldn't tell them apart at a glance. But, you've beat me to it. My hats off gentlemen...hats off indeed.
It's my honor to spend my last red cent on your decoys. You have my word that they will be instrumental in the death of the birds that they mimic.
Thank You All,

Something else that I would like to call to you guys' attention...
Not only has this forum given me the oppurtunity to see and discuss decoys that I ended up buying, you are physically saving me money too...This has become unreal...I'm waiting to wake up and there be no Avery forum or new decoys.
I'll post picture's the minute I take 'em...You have my word on that...
