Mallyard,

I hunted over some last year and I have to say that they are my favorite deks!! They look unbelievable on the water and the dark color really shows up well in all conditions!!

The gadwalls are awesome. I believe I will flock the rump on mine. This spring, I have seen an absolute ton of them and the first thing you notice it that jet black hind end. It shows up really well.

I like to add in a few of the "other" ducks for realism. The gadwalls, wigeons, teal, shovelers, and pintails really help out the spread.

Thanks,

I agree with everyone on this. This is the first "true" gadwall production decoy ever made. It is absolutely perfect to the real thing. You will not be disappointed in this purchase. Thanks.

Like everyone else, I believe that the Gadwall decoy is one of our better looking decoys as far as detail goes.

They not only look great in the field but also make a heck of a mantle piece as well.

You will be very pleased with your purchase of the Gadwall decoys.

Thanks,

The Gadwalls and Shovelers are both awesome. Replicate what you see in the wild with your decoy spread!!!

Go ahead and buy another 1/2 dozen or so. You'll love them. That's all i used this year and it really made the difference when everyone else was using mallard decoys. We'd take out a dozen gadwalls, six widgeon and six woodies and that was it. Boy we spanked them. What we would do is throw half of the gad decoys into a group then take two hens and four drakes and make two lines with the hens in front, swimming towards the group. Very natural looking.

I will always remember my first hunt with the GHG Gadwall decoys.
Had about 30-40 gadwalls come right to the decoys, a perfect textbook decoying shot at 25 yards about 5 feet above the decoys, 4 hunters... 12 shots.... 0 Gadwalls.... we laughed the rest of the morning.... :D

I love mine. Gadwall are the third most common bird in my bag. I was really happy to see the GHG gadwall and they do look great. Open lake gadwall are the most wary duck around here. They are really bad about landing wide of your spread. These new gadwall decoys mixed in with a coot spread are great. I would love to see some gadwall butts to go along with these.

Thanks for all the replys. I ended up ordering a 1/2 doz. Gadwalls and a 1/2 doz shovlers. The majority of what we shot last year was gadwalls so I think it'll help out the realism. Thanks agian,

Mallyard
