My fiance and I are expecting our first child around the 12th of August. We found out a few weeks ago that it's going to be a little girl. Upon numerous name conversations, she comes to me with the name Avery Mae. I told her I loved it... then I told her why! She now insists I get another Avery sticker for the truck!
Be on the lookout for photos of little Avery Mae Kryspin sometime in Mid-August.
Thanks...

Jerry,
Congratulations on the news. With the baby due in August I think you have left yourself a good window to acclimate to fatherhood and then get out for the best part of our waterfowl season!

congratulations!!!!!! That is awesome. I wish you the best and you'll need it. Don't let her date a waterfowler.

Congratulations! My advice would be just not to let her date at all.

Thanks for all the kind words fellas. I'm both nervous and anxious for the August 12th date. I just pray she comes into this world healthy!
I'm doing things a little different than last year. I had quite a few unproductive harvest days last year early but some unforgettable days late last season. I'm going to put more effort/time in the field late season gunning mallards, blacks, and canada geese in the fields than in the impounds/marshes early chasing wigeon, teal, woodies, ringnecks and gaddies.
Avery... it's who we are! ;)

Thanks for the kind words Christian.
She coaches competitive cheerleading (those contests you may see on ESPN). We have a nice deal worked out - hunting season is mine and cheer season is hers. How lucky am I that cheer season doesn't really overlap waterfowl season?!?!
