I would like to purchase a lay out blind.
I see both of these on various Waterfowl Hunting DVDs.
What's the Pros and Cons?
Thanks,
Tim

PowerHunter is lighter and probably lower profile, Finisher offers more room and is more comfortable. I prefer the Finisher, but will hunt PowerHunters if the cover is skinny or I have to pack in.

Either blind is great when brushed up.
Take it from Clark Griswold....."can't see the blinds can you Russ?"   :D

Both blinds would suit you well. I prefer my Powerhunter in 99 percent of the hunts I go on. The only time I use my Finisher is in standing water with a neotub, or extreme cold weather or heavy rain. I prefer the Powerhunters field of view, and not being "constricted" inside.

I hunt out of my finisher alot, I really like all the room and how you are out of the weather. Both blinds are great, they cant be seen when brushed really good.

Good Luck On What Ya Pick, but I have to go with the FINISHER !!

Both blinds are very good. I prefer the Power Hunter for the ease of transport and set-up. The Finisher is the blind I use in bad weather, because it is more comfortable and gives you more protection from the elements. I use the Power Hunter 75% of the time. It is my go to blind.

DIFFENITLY THE POWER HUNTER EASILY HIDDEN IN LITTLE OR NO COVER YOU CAN SEE EVERYTHING AND THE BIRDS CAN'T SEE YOU ...

THE POWER HUNTER GET MY VOTE....

Tony, Your pic's look incredible. Stubble fields are one of my favorites to hide in.

Like the guys have already stated, both blinds are great. I prefer the Power Hunter. I use the Power Hunter 99% of the time. The Power Hunter has been a hunt saver this year. Most of the birds I have been shooting have been using picked bean fields, which allow for zero cover. The Power Hunter can be set up and taken down in seconds. The Power Hunter allows for a great 360 degree field of view. The Power Hunter is light in weight, weighing only 11 lbs. When folded the Power Hunter takes up very little space in your vehicle or trailer. The best advice I can give is to go to a local Avery Dealer and test drive both blinds to see which one will fit you best.

Where did Tony go! Where did who go!

Going going gone!

I would say if 1 could only choose one! I say Finisher FK.

I hunt with a Power Hunter or a Finisher everyday. If I had to, I would pick the Power Hunter. It is low profile, comfortable, mobile, and it straight out kills em'. This is something that you will always question. I would tell you to go to a dealer that carries both of them and see which one fits you better. I am sure that you will be happy either way. Let us know which way you go.

Good Hunting!

I dont have any experience with the Finisher but have a Power Hunter going on about 1 1/2 months. I really like the blind. Its easy to pack in since it doesn't weight anything. The low profile allows you to blend in very well. The thing I like the most is the ability to call out of it and not have to wear a facemask, be able to move around and it blocks a considerable amount of wind. Bought my dad one for Christmas and my one hunting partner is going to buy one too.

This is my second season with a Power Hunter. I have hunted out of a Finisher one time and much prefer the Power Hunter for a bunch of reasons but the biggest one is that you're totally invisible but can see everything above and around you..... you can be moving your head all around and calling aggressively and not worry whether the birds have busted you....

Just my 2 cents...

Kevin

I see you are from Arkansas. Will you be using this on rice checks or levees? The reason I ask is because you can buy a neotub and lay right in a rice field and be completely waterproof with a Finisher. Where with a power hunter you cannot do that. Something to think about.

My favorite overall blind is the Finisher. However, there are some features of the PowerHunter that may make it a bit better for certain applications. For example, it's weight makes it easy to pack on a long walk, it is very low profile making it good for fields that have been worked, and it's hood is great for hiding your face and still allows you to move quite a bit out of site of the birds. The drawbacks would be that you can't add a Neotub and for me, it isn't quite as comfortable in extremely cold temperatures.

Thanks for all of the input.
Sounds like the Finisher is a great Blind, But from what I am hearing the Power Hunter has a lot of great features as well. I also like the price.
I live in the Northwest Part of AR. and mainly hunt over in the Ok. River Valley as well as the AR. River Valley. I also feel that the Lay Out Blind would be good not only for field hunting but for hunting along the banks of the Back Water of the AR. River.

I own a power hunter and have hunted out of finishers and I like both equally. In the power hunter there is a very large field of view but isn't quite as comfortable as the finisher, also if it rains there isn't much protection. The Finsher is a little more roomy but doesn't give as good of a view as PH.

The Best solution... By Both!
Either one is great and I'm sure you won't be dissapointed.

If you are looking for the ''One'' blind that does it all, It's the Finisher.
Folds up compact, plenty of room, flagging ports and den for storage of flag, adjustable height settings and a really comfortable blind.
I have spent a lot of long days in mine over the last 3 years, and the Finisher is truly ''The Blind''.

I love my finisher, and while it's not as low-profile it will disappear if brushed in properly. I also like the protection from the elements when it gets nasty. Here is a picture of a couple of finishers brushed in during Maryland's early goose season.

My blind of choice is the finisher, but when the terrain calls for it, I am just as comfy in my powerhunters.

I own both Power Hunter and Finisher, and while I love them both, I find it easier to see out of my Finisher and more room to move around in. Both blinds are great choices and will treat you well. Here is a pic of last night's goose hunt in a plowed corn field that has very little cover. This pic is of the blinds before they were stubbled.
