That Fullbody Pintails may be in the line-up for 2006... Can any of y'all from Avery confirm or deny this rumor? I would love to know before I order more FB Mallards... Not that I won't order more... I just will have to include a couple 6 packs of Pintail too.

Rob,

Travis' post is actually the one that prompted my post. While I love the Black Duck FB's, and I might add a six-pack to simulate the Motteld ducks down here what I really want are Pintail FB's. So anyone care to shed some "fer sure" type light on this subject?

Honk, if I could tell you a "fersure" answer I would. What we do this time of year and earlier in the year is map out or timeline if you will what decoys are going to be on the drawing board. We then begin the very long and tedious task of carving each individual decoy hen and drake because as you know, we will not use the same mold for both hen and drakes. So what I am getting at is we are not sure if we can get to the F.B. pintail or not. Yes it is on the timeline, but so is about 15 other things, and these carvings take a little longer than overnight. I want these as bad as you, and I can guarantee the southern boy's would eat these alive, and we will work hard to complete what we need to complete. So I hope this answers your question a little bit. We have in the past said we were going to have a decoy only to run out of time. Many of these guy's on this website can attest to that. When we know if we can complete this decoy on time and get it out to you before seasons, we will let everyone know. If we cannot, then we will work on it for 2007. Thanks for understanding.

Yep, I think the Bootheel and ArkLaMiss Delta crowd would love a full body sprig. Probably sell a few to those Texas Bay fellas and all of them knuckleheads in Californy. ;)

Knowing what Fred has on his plate to carve in 2006, there is no way this will done this year. We are looking to add these in 2007.
