I am interested in buying a couple of layout blinds & have not been able to decide which ones. Seems as though many prefer the power hunter but I'm 6', 295 & I wonder if it is big enough to work for me on those hunts with little cover and/or long hikes.
Also, I want one of the 2 blinds I plan to get, to work with the neo-tub & have read that the Migrator is the largest but seems that most on this board talk about the Finisher......Any info would be appreciated. Thanks!

Tomahog- The powerhunter does not have a frame around you, so you may indeed fit well inside it. The Migrator is quite a bit bigger, and would be the other choice I would suggest. It is wider than the Finisher giving you a little more room. You should go to your local Avery dealer and try them all out though, that is the best way to see for sure what you think.

Tomahog,
I am 6'4" and a light 325lbs. I love to hunt out of the Power Hunter. It is easily my favourite blind. The only time I find size becomes an issue is when it is really cold and I have the full arsenal of cold weather clothing. It is still manageable, but a little snug. If the Power Hunter is the blind you would like, I would not fret about the size.
It also has the benefit of a low profile and packability. A good price make it the ideal blind...in my opinion.

Tomahog,
Another vote for the Power Hunter. I am 6'4" and weigh 290 lbs. I prefer hunting out of the Power Hunter. The Power Hunter affords a unrestricted 360 degree field of the through the Poly-Mesh Top. The Power Hunter can be set up and taken down in seconds. You folded the Power Hunter takes up very little space in your vehicle or trailer. I hope this helps.

Tomahog, If you are buying two I would get the Power Hunter for every day hunting and the Migrator for use with the Neotub. The Migrator is very roomy on the inside for you and your gear which is important if you need to keep your gear dry too! Also, welcome to the Avery Forums!

Low profile of the Phunter is the real plus to me. I've only used it this season, but it really fits me well. I'm 62 years and counting and 6'2 and 230. As they say in Jamaica, No Problem, Mon !

If Jude says size isn't a problem with him and the Power Hunter...I am not going to argue! Seriously, the Power Hunter, as previously stated doesn't have a frame that would make it uncomfortable for a big guy. It is very low profile and easy to pack. For the NeoTub application, I would suggest the Migrator.

I agree with Jude. I have a few friends that are big boys and they prefer to hunt out of the PowerHunter blind.
Their second choice is the Migrator. To me it will depend on what your normal weather conditions are and if you have to carry your blind in every time you hunt.
If you hunt in all conditions: early season to late season cold weather. Then I would take a Migrator.
If you have to pack it in then the PowerHunter is my choice.
Seeing that you are from Arkansas I would go with the PowerHunter. Because you normally do not get the extreme cold like we get up here and it is always muddy down their so you may have to pack it in.
Thanks for the post!

I think the best thing to do is go to a retail that has them all on-hand. That way, you can try all of them and see which one you like the best. You are the best judge of what will work best for you.
Thanks,

Thanks to everyone who provided info on this thread....
I bought 2 power hunters in field kaki & used them this past weekend, they were great...my 8 year old son & I were hunting on the edge of a flooded rice field with little cover. I didn't get to mud them in as I bought them at Mack's on the way down Friday evening & hunted in them the next morning but the killer weed did a nice job & we didn't have any birds flair. They were comfortable too. In fact we both took a nap Saturday afternoon before the birds started flying!
I plan on adding a migrator w/neo tub next for getting out in the water when needed. Again, thanks for your input & thanks to Avery for a great product!

That is great to hear Tomahog. It is stories like this that keep these guys from Avery coming up with the best waterfowling equipment there is! And great job taking out your son! Hope the blinds treat you well!

I had the "other brand " blind. I recently bought Power Hunters & they are awsome. I am 6'3 and about 300 also & I have plenty of room. As for hidding the blind , there is no comparison with anything, the power hunter disappears. Anyone hunting with me from now on will have to have a power hunter.
