I know you guys do not like seeing this but is a serious problem that will have to be addressed. The attachment of the heads just is sub standard. I am very happy with certain aspects of your decoys but the head attachment is not 1 of them. I will buy more decoys but it will be lessors due to the head attachment.

CS:

We appreciate your buying our products. Anytime you experience problems with our products, I would suggest you please call our Customer Service line at 800-333-5119. While we welcome any feedback (positive or negative), I think it's more expedient if you'd contact us at that number first to see if this is something we can immediately rectify. If you just happened to get a defective batch of heads (which does happen in all manufacturing fields occasionally) and you can provide us with the appropriate information and hard data, we will do all we can to help you out. As I handle all decoy replacements and returns, I can assure you that this problem to which you alluded is not "par for the course" with our Canada (which is what I assume you're alluding to?) decoys. Please give us a call and a fair chance to get your dilemma resolved.

Thanks again,
Tim Pickett

just wondering to about the heads...its a good and bad thing about them i think..i just want others opionion..
on one hand they are hard to get on in the first place but do not move or go anywhere after which is good is you want them to stay on all the time.

on the other hand if you wnat them off for transport it will take longer to take them up the than anything and ends up being a pain in the *** .

what do you guys perfer to do...
but overall i think they have great color and features...

Tim I respect your reply and will and can live with my current decoys. This thread was started as a statement. My concern is that instead of perfecting a revolutionary decoy we will see fullbody pintails. My point is ghg decoys have changed the industry in so many positive ways but when does it become wider than tall. As a retailer I realize credible feedback is hard to get and the internet is 10 times harder. Most waterfowlers will never get on the internet to post their experiances. I truely only want to see the best for avery because I as a waterfowler reap the rewards also. Thank you for all that your company has done and will continue to do.

ps I do not want this to come across negative in any way. I have had 2 experiances with avery cs and both were all that I could ask for and more.

CS,

When you say retailer..what do you mean? Where do you purchase your GHG decoys in Oklahoma?

Thanks...

Derek as a retailer I personnally find it hard to get good feedback that is not biased in 1 way or another. And avery probably has a much harder time. In okla. sportsmans warehouse is the only place that I know that really stocks any. I am trying to decide if I want to start carrying decoys at my store. I own pretty much every decoy that avery makes and the head attatchment is my only complaint. 1 of the down sides of the internet is that posts like this sound so negative. Avery makes a great decoy but you guys already know that. I just want to bring up real life problems that have an impact on decoy purchases.
I own many avery decoys and will continue to buy them and maybe even sell them so this thread should not be taken as these decoys are junk and buyers beware that could not be further from the truth. If I am only going to set up a few dozen decoys you can bet it will be ffd and not my bigfoots that goes for this year and for years to come. Keep up the good work and I am going to get off this high horse before I land on my head.

CS, I am curious as to what it is about the head attachment you don't like? I am not being defensive or anything, just curious. I personally am a little leary of the shell type head attachment. My concern would be that piling them in the trailer would eventually cause the tight fit to get loose and heads would fall off. When I used to run other brands of fullbodies it would drive me absolutely NUTS when we were setting decoys and some had heads, some had heads that fell off, feet that fell off, etc. It definitely took more time to set up. The screw on heads suit me pretty good now because I haven't had to worry about them falling off when piled in the trailer. Let me know if I am overlooking something. Thanks.
