It is looking like the Goldeneyes will be available in 2006. We will keep you posted.

I have seen the carvings and they are unreal. Again nothing but realism form our carvers.
We will post pics once we finalize it and the the paint schemes are also finalized.

Keep posted.

I carving is finalized and on its way to have a mold made out of it. It is another decoy that you just have to marvel at. I don't know of another Goldeneye decoy on the market that has the detail that these do.

I am not a Diver hunter, but it is hard not to get excited about this decoy!

I can't wait. We had some whistlers pass by today on a sea duck hunt. Six of these on the side will no doubt in my mind bring them in for a visit. I saw the carving and can't wait to see the finished product.

Along with subject, what else will be availible, as far as ducks? Both floaters and FB.

After seeing the pictures of the carvings...I just don't know how they do it!

I believe they're just gonna do all drakes in a floater decoy, no FB's for the GE's. I wish they would come out with hens though but since they're making buffleheads as well I can't complain, we're gonna get into 'em this saturday. Finally found a huntable number of them, I just wish the GE's were down here like they were last year. They're starting to show themselves but just not many of them. We've only killed 1 hen and taht's all we've had come within shotgun range.

I think you're right, tealtom. Oversize only, drakes only is the last I heard. I'm sure they look great. Maybe I'll buy one for furniture. One day someone will make hens, I'm sure. Then I can upgrade my diver rig! On the other hand, "drake only" buffleheads aren't much of a handicap here, as a few around the edges is what we usually see. Unfortunately, Avery intends to release only "giants".

Actually, the Buffleheads are not going to be huge. They are going to be similar to the O/S Shovelers that we already make.

Thanks,

Do you guys have an estimate of when they would be on the shelfs. Hopefully this summer? I am guessing you wont or cant tell us what the price on these would be but if so that would be nice

I for one cannot wait! Just in time to replace my spread with a nice 3 dozen over size!!! It is about time a good GE comes out. Next all I need is harlequins :D

Tim,

I don't have a use for 3 dz. but a half dz. set behind or to the side of my diver rig might get get some interest from the Whistler. Rusty and I hunted the other morning in fog and we had a pair roll overhead. Only caught a quick glimpe of them but their distinctive whistle helped with the ID.

Attahced are a couple of photos of the rig in the fog...it was thick but we managed to both get our limit of Blackheads and we each picked off a Mallard.

Rambo, would you like me to post the photo of the father son hunt when you went with Zach? I believe their were a couple of hens in that bag. I looked at it last night while going through photos.

Rob,

Sometime you will have to come up and see why three dozen. I only use that many if we are only targeting them. Otherwise I still use 1 to 2 dozen in the center with scoters/harlequins on each end. Up here everything on the salt likes to sit with the GE. But that is because they are the main duck.

I suppose they are going to be common GE?
