View Full Version : FFD's in 6 slot bags??
Just curious if the 6 slot bags are enough protection for the FFD's or do they need to be individually bagged?

Reed,
I have used the Avery 6-Slot Full Body Bags this season to protect my GHG FFD Elite Full Bodies. The 6-Slot Bags have done their job protecting the decoys.

I think that the six slots offer a great deal of protection for FFD Elite series full body geese. With that said, you just can't throw all kinds of stuff on top of them. I stacked six slot on top of six slot and didn't have any problems.
Thanks,

I have been using the 6-Slot all year with the Specks and have been puttting more that six and they have offered excellent protection.

Just make sure that whoever stakes them in your trailer stacks them in a way that the heads won't rub against the walls!! I may carpet the walls next year. That wood rubbing non-stop for lengths at a time against that flocking can be hard on them.

Like Travis said, the bags are great, but if you stack the heads like an idiot against trailer walls, the heads are going to take some abuse. By the time I returned from Sasketchewan this year I had some heads that were hurting. But, we had the trailer stacked SO full we couldnt put another decoy in it. We never should have stacked it like that.

My decoys have held up very well this year in the 6 slot bags. I have even been putting a dozen lessers in the bags with no problem and very little wear.

I use the FFDs and the 6-Slot Bags everyday and I believe in them totally. They make it a lot easier to transport and set up as well as in protecting the decoys. They also stack very nicley in my trailer making it easier to fit more decoys inside. Let us know what your results are.
Good Hunting!

Will the 6-slot decoy bags hold the '04 FB with the foot base attached?

bigguns,
The Avery 6-Slot Full Body Bags are designed to store 6 full bodies with the RealFeet Foot Bases attached to the body.

We have some FFD's that we put out each day in a along the edge of a flooded bean field. We have used the 6 Slot bags each day and the decoys look great. We also have a dozen specks that we put out at each put. We use 6 Slot bags for these as well. These bags provide the protection to keep your decoys in great shape season after season.
