Here is a picture of the kids that we took on a goose hunt. We were letting them shoot first and let them limit on these little Aleutian geese. They had a blast and will remember it for a while. The geese were everywhere. Notice 2 of our Finisher blinds behind them.

Sorry this picture is a little blurry, but this is an example of the groups of geese we were working in for the kids and ourselves.

Nice to see you getting kids involved. My dad never duck hunted but after the first one with my brother I was hooked. I could care less about shooting anything, I just think its the time spent in the field with friends and family that counts and all the cool sunrises you get to see that most don't.

These kids actually did awesome. We had them in Power Hunters so that they could see and still be well hidden. They both actually limited out with 4 geese each.

Were you using lessers or Pro-Grades?

We were using lessers and FFDs and also a dozen full body snows. There are a ton of ross geese in the area.

Here is a picture of some of the lesser decoys. Take a look at the grass where the geese have actually mowed it down.

Rob,

The weather right now is lows in the high 30's to low 40's with the high in the mid 50's. We actually had some frost on the decoys after we set up on Sunday.

It really goes without saying. They are the future of the sport. I just hope my boys enjoy it enough to take me along when I get to old to go myself.

Thanks,

It might be hard for them to help you climb up in the deer stand...unless it's not.
