Phoneman,
1. Now we're not sure if we are going to make those changes. We have had nothing but great response on the original base so Fred wants to get closer to the end of the season before doing a full-scale "poll". We want to encourage everyone to give us their brutally honest opinions about the foot bases even though, as the guy from another forum claims, I will probably jump down your throat if you do. I promise to be nice as long as you don't call me names!
2. What do you think?

tom, i think the footbases are fine because i hunt mostly in cut beans and corn fields, but i could see someone not liking the color if they hunt in grass or winter wheat. When i get mine, i will probably leave them as is. As for the motion bases, that would be friggin awesome! Any motion is a plus n my opinion. Let me know what you think

I just got back from Bass Pro and I went there to buy some Big Feet for a new club I just got in. Seems they added a new blind and the new guy was asked to stock the blind. Bwahahahaha Anyway I saw the new GHG full bodies and man I stopped in my tracks. I really like them. My only observation or concern was whether the legs would hold up over time. I too was not sure if I liked the base color. But a little stubble will fix that. So the new club is getting GHG. I'm anxious to try them tomorrow.

I can appreciate your concern on the durability of the legs. When we went to Canada this year we made sure that we put the GHG Fullbodies to the test. DO not worry, They WILL hold up. We had 200 fullbodies that were considered "samples". These were some of the first off the line. They were before Tom and Fred decided to make the legs thicker. SO now they are even stronger.
We put these decoys through the TEST! 2 weeks on the road in Canada is more abuse than most guys will put them through in several seasons here in the states. We showed them no mercy and we never had a single problem with any of them!
Good choice you made for your club!

Backpeddler,
BB is right about the legs because the ones he used in Canada were the original foot bases which were modified. The foot bases are blow molded from virgin grade high density polyethylene which is THE material to use for this kind of stuff. HDPE is the most durable material available, and it will hold up in bitter cold temps. Trust me when I tell you the legs on the foot bases are going to outlast any full body foot base system out there.
Thanks for joining the Avery family. Please send us some photos of your set up or of you and your buddies after a good hunt. The photo at the top of our home page was just sent in from one of our good customers who slams 'em up on the North Platte in Nebraska - he bought 300 of our new Over-Size Goose Shells all with sleeper heads and added them to his spread. It's truly something to behold, and we are proud to be included.
Thanks again!
Tom
