Just picked my first dozen of what is soon to be a much larger collection of GHG dekes. ever since i first saw these at the Oregon Waterfowl Festival, i knew that these were the dekes that i would be hunting over for years to come.
then it got better. i found out how affordable, dare i say "cheap", that these decoys were when compared to other high end products on the market today. yet i hear people complaining all the time about bad paint.
"chips off easy.", they say.
well i say, "so what."
think about this for a moment. first, the paint problem, if i understand this corectly, has been indentified, a solution found, and the offer to replace the faulty product extended to the public. which, i might add, has been used by people with legit complaints and just people looking to horn in on some fresh dekes. yes, you know who you are.
second, compare these dekes with anything else out there that you can buy for 39 bucks a dozen. only one thing comes to my mind. Flambeau standard size water keels for 30 bucks a dozen. i don't think i need to comment on what you get when you buy a dzn cheap Flams.
so here is the deal. buy your dekes, go hunting, and quit yer bitchin. in a couple of years when they start looking a little "old" from riding around in the sack, then do what i will do..go buy some more with the knowledge that you are getting one hell of a product for one hell of a price.
