Does anyone have any pictures of geese feeding, and lounging in fields. Also do any of you guys have pictures of your spreads in the field. I am just trying to get a feel of the variation you use. Thanks.

I'm even gonna take this a step further. Can some of you prostaffers use a program on your computer (paint program in accesories then everyone can view them) to show decoy spreads on how you would do it with different kinds of decoys and differnet situations.

My spread is usually a direct reflection of the geese using that field/area at that time of the year. I determin this by scouting and observing geese. Depending on several factors geese will behave differently. I do not use any one "goto" spread. I even change it up day to day with different numbers just to keep the "locals" on thier toes! Here is a small part of an early season spread based on EXACTLY what the geese in my area do first thing in the morning.

northdakota and Kenny,

I just finished a photo essay on decoy placement. It is the basic patterns detailed with wind, blind placement and landing area all well marked. . The photo's are panaramic views of 100 full bodies in 4 different patterns. It has just come back from the editor and should be ready to post in 3 weeks. It was also done on video but that will take a bit longer before release.
