Decoy help??

Hey guys, as you know i own 1 doz LS mallards, now 2 doz hot buys, and 1 doz pintails, and just added to it with some more goose floaters and green wing teal setup. what should i take out opening morning decoy wise? any help is greatly appreciated!!

hmmm what we normally do on opening day is take about 1/2-1 dozen mallards.because around here they show up in mid-december so for us it wouldn't look right...but definately keep the teal and if it's possible you should throw in acouple gadwals..and i would bring one or two goose floaters or a full body or two just so the ducks can see the decoys better..but we put our gesse away from the ducks just so the ducks can see there is something there then when they get to the pond they see some ducks are in there too(or so they think)..here we also throw in one or two black ducks but i don't know if they hang around your parts

Scouting will determin what you take. Watch the area that you hunt in and see what birds are using your area. Also look at the numbers of birds using your area. That will determin the size and types of decoys that you will set out.
