I practice calling and I also spend a lot of time at local spots that have good populations of geese and ducks and I watch and listen to them. I take pictures when I can as well and take note of what they are doing and what spreads they are in. I watch how birds approach them and the sounds they make.

Fowl- Spring is a GREAT time to observe birds. I spend alot of time in the marsh in the spring photographing birds, studying etc. The plummage on the birds is awesome this time of year. If you can call and decoy birds close enough to get a GOOD picture, it's well within range for fall with a gun. This is also when I work on steadying my dogs. They get so used to seeing them in the spring and summer that come fall they don't have the urge to bust at all.
