Hunters, I would like to know, what was the biggest problem you faced this year. I would like to know every little thing, from lack of birds to product trouble. Thanks.

No problems here at all.
Birds were a bit slow at times, but I still don't think it was a problem.
Great season as usual.

Our biggest problem this year was a there was no water. A lot of the ponds where low, and all the public hunting pools at chyenne bottoms where dry. Duck season was no good, we had quite a few geese but nothing compared to last year. If it doesnt rain this summer there will be NO water. Thats a huge problem i dont think many hunters had this year.

my biggest problems this year, hunting Northern IL were
1. lack of fields (all fields are either leased by hunt clubs or farmers won't let you hunt)
2. concealment, both of our fields were beans, abolutely no cover.

All in all out here in Colorado we had a dynamite year on the Canadas ducks were a lil slow, a lil' diffrent migration year we shot a few species that were virtually unheard of up till this year, I shot a black duck drake and a Canvasback drake, along with aa speck. There was some kind of an asian goose shot here early in the year along with brant and old squaw.
The biggest problem we had all year was skybusters and I saw some things that made me shake my head. Saw alot of crippled brds around on area water. I wish the DOW could right tickets for being idiots.
I got a quick story...
I talked to some guys that hunted in a field a 1/4 mile north of us (They would take easy 80 yards shots at passing geese) yesterday when I explained who I was and where I hunted, he said " we watch those birds dump into you guys then never leave.. how close do you guys let them get? I said most of um standing flat footed the guys just laughed... really? I said... Really! :D :D

Personally, I had the best year in over 10, but that was because I retired and had more time to hunt. I averaged over 3 birds per hunt, plus bagged 11 geese, which is pretty good in Southern Nevada on public land.
Problems? I had to hunt remote spots, and get there 2-3 hours early to avoid the 'idiots'. Lots of skybusters, and guys shooting at illegal birds. Saw 4 coots during the year, obviously shot by bored hunters, then left. On the bright side, I learned a lot more about the refuge, and developed some new ways to bring the birds in.
My new GHG dekes probably didn't hurt either. :D

Poor number of birds in our normal spots, not to mention several new people started hunting these sports. This lead to trying a lot of new spots that didn't prove very productive either. Equipment worked well all season, pass shooting could have been better.
For next season I've bought a bigger boat that will allow me to get to some new spots and fish/scout a lot this summer. I've also already started shooting skeet and 5 stand to prepare for next season.

too much water for us. Had good numbers of snows and specks. Saw more ducks than year before, but you know how that goes..

Our biggest problem was water...or lack of. As ponds dried up there was a pretty good innerstate migration early. As the birds stacked up on what water was available so did the hunters. It didn't take long for birds to pull out or find areas that were very difficult for hunters to get at. As always you had to be willing to work for your birds but hard work paid off.

Lack of water here too. My favorite sloughs were gone this year, forcing us to hunt some alternates. We still had a great year despite this... just had to change some things, and work a little harder. The trip to Sask. made the year though. IF we hadn't shot a single thing here in Minnesota, it would have still been a great season based on Sasketchewan alone.
