You can buy a kit, or get it in bulk from Donjer. You dont need adhesive (paint) as you can substitute Rustolium Flat Oil base. Get a table to work on, outside, as this is messy. I do silo's, and use a large baking sheet. Rough up the surface, using sandpaper or 3m pad. Apply the paint, one deke at a time. I then place the painted surface on a pile of flocking, and put more flocking on top. Then I press it in, lift it out, knock off the excess, set aside to dry.

If you are doing decoys (I did my hotbuys and wideons in green) you can use a storage pail. It helps keep the flocking controlled as you press it on.

I really is easy, and kinda fun. Amazing the difference it makes. Avery is really on the right track doing this for their dekes. I have done 6 doz silos and 4 doz duck dekes. I also do the black on the mallards and rust/green on my old teal dekes.

I do it exactly the way NV does it... to do FB heads I use a tall tupperware box. pour all of the flocking in there then when I am done I put the lid on it. do it the donjer way and it costs about23 bucks to do 5 dozen FB's heads and tails.

What is this "Donjer" that u speak of?

I like the Tupperwear idea, but do u jus roll it in there or shake 'em w/ the lid on.

Thanks guys for your responses.

www.donjer.com (http://www.donjer.com) is the website we buy it from... dump the flocking in the tupperware box, paint the head where you want the flocking to adhear to basically all but the beak and the white patch, then sprinkle it on all over the head then take handfulls and pack it on occassionally tapping the beak or base on the side to knock off the excess then repeat. The more you do this the better coverage you will get. GOOD LUCK!!
