I'm a freshmen in high school, and am wanting to have a ghg spread next year. But theres one problem. I'm saving for a truck and need decoys too. My estimated cost for all the decoys I want to buy will be around $175. Does anyone have any tips on how to make some extra mula? I can't get a job over the summer. I'm still 14. Thanks for any help.
PS: I know this is kinda off of the subject, but most everyone on this board seems to be helpfull in all aspects.

Did you say you are 14 and want to buy a truck? What state allows 14 yr olds to not only drive but to own a truck? If this is accurate I would say brush up on your negotiation skills and talk the owner of the truck down $200.00. Why work harder, why not smarter? If your salesmen skills need improvements then there is always baby sitting or bean walking. :D

Both are good ideas, but Brett is right, By the time you save for the truck it should depreciate 200.00 dollars! depreciation=decoys! :D

Here in Kansas at 15 I can drive my own vehicle to and from school, work, and church. By my self and right now I can drive anywhere with an adult in the car with me that has a valid driver's lincense... I Appreciate the responses... And I hope my the truck I buy is worth more that $200. I don't think it'll get me to school and back. hehehe.
Thanks agian, Mallyard.

Sounds like you might have what some states call a "farmers permit" for a drivers license. If that's the case, I'm guessing you live in a rural area. As Brett suggested, walk beans, bale hay, or just talk to some farmers and see if they will hire you for chores or summer help. Who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and find a farmer with good corn or wheat fields that attract some waterfowl come fall. I'll promise you this, if you work hard for your money, you'll appreciate the truck and decoys you buy with it. Good luck with the job hunt.

I dont know where you are in Kansas but i bet you can work for a farmer doing daywork for 60.00 a day Kansas has more farms than alot of states go to a nearby feedlot and see if you can clean feedbunks and pens it will be a good experience.
