Josh,
If you are looking for a contest call there are a couple styles you can go with. I suggest the SR-1 off the top because of the tone quality and the range of sounds you can get with it. It is a very deep, hollow sounding call. The SR-1 is a little different as far as mechanics, which is great for guys with different styles of calling.
The PM-1 is another call that has performed very well on stage and has a different sound than the SR-1. The PM-1 is a very fast call that is great for rapid clucking style routines. If you have ever heard Tyler Rednour on stage you will now exactly what I mean. An awesome display of both calls was when "brothers" Zach and Tyler Rednour blew together in the two man goose in Peoria this year. You could hear the tone qualities of both calls which made an awesome two man routine finishing in the top five.
Josh if you are interested in blowing our calls for contest give me a call and we will talk about it and get you set up. 937-832-3436
Looking forward to hearing from you.
Thanks,
Field

Hey Field - I called and talked to you the other day about calling tips and reeds for my Little Man and my Power Maximus; I don't know if you remember or not. However, I forgot to ask you about the XR-2 duck call. I have been trying to locate one but no one carries them in my area. Do you know of anywhere in my area where I can try one out and maybe purchase one? Thanks!

P.S. The reed you sent me for the SR-1 sounds goosey as all getout! Thanks a lot!
