I hunt ducks a lot and run anywhere from 3 to 7 different species in a hunt. How many species do you guys like to run in your spreads.

it depends, if we're in a spot where those mostly gadwalls with a ringneck here and there then that's what we put out, but if we're hunting a spot where there's nothing but mallards and wood ducks then that's what we use.

I like to put out the species you see in the area I'm hunting. The realistic poses, and quality of GHG decoys helps to mimic the surrounding fowl in any given area.

H2O- I like to run what I see in scouting. I have one lake that I will throw the kitchen sink at them. Mallards, pintails, Widgeons, Ringbills,Bluebills,Cans,Teal and 1 or 2 goose floaters, with 1 or 2 goose fullbody lookers standing in the water. We have had days where we shot all the above in the same day on this lake. If divers are out AT ALL, I load up on diver blocks with the white for extended visability.

I agree with all the replies! The old saying "birds of a feather flock together!" is so true when hunting critters! I have seen Buffleheads pass us by until we put Buffleheads out, same with so many other species.
