Everyone at Avery, I could use your prayers.
With my wifes surgery nearing, and the untimely death of my Mom in July, we have just found out my mother n law has colon cancer and has been given 1-2 years.This has been a really bad year for us.
I have so much going on right now, and my faith is being tested , Please keep us in your prayers.

I know what you are going through, when my Dad passed and then soon after that we learned that my Mom had breast cancer, we were tested and held our faith. My Mom is still dealing with the Cancer issue after much radiation treatment which caused her to have a heart problem to boot. The support of family and friends carries us through each day. As I type this I am sitting here in San Diego visiting with my Mom. She recently got good word from her oncologist and will not need to go back for another 6 months :D Keep your head up and there are great groups out there that are willing to lend a hand and share their experiences with you and your family. Hang in there brother and prayers are on the way from our family to yours.

Another family that is out there for you and can provide some help and support is the cancer survivorship family. http://www.livestrong.org/livestrong/portal/ep/home.do and www.laf.org (http://www.laf.org) are a great starting point if you are looking for information or just looking for someone that is going or has gone through what you are dealing with. Lean on your doctors and get to know and use your nurses. I hope and pray for the best.

Cancer has touched most peoples lives..I know it has mine. I lost a grandmother and a grandfather to it and it is hard to make somebody feel better during times like this. Place all of your worries on Gods shoulders...he will take it and much more. Trust in him and he will make it better. We can not always understand why, but if you can ask for comfort he WILL get you and your family through this!

Thank you all for your prayers. My Mother n law passed away this morning due to complications from her surgery.
The only comfort we can find is that she will not suffer a horrible death at the hands of cancer.

I am truly sorry to hear about the passing of your mother. I lost my father when he was only 59 to Leukemia and the best piece of advice I got from a friend then is what I'll say to you know...take things one day at a time and look to your friends for help if you need it.
