What can anyone tell me about the Canada Goose Shells? We are looking to replace ours. I just dont know if we can afford the full bodies. Do the heads go on and stay on well? I am reading about some problems with the full body heads. How about paint? or structural strenth? How thick is the plastic? Anyone have any experience with these? Any info would be great! Maybe some pics in the field? or the trailor? Thanks

you will love these decoys we use 4 dozen of them with fullbodies and the heads on the shells are set up different than the full bodies and stay on well and the plastic is thicker than most anything out there i think and the paint hasn't flaked a bit and they have been hunted hard this year you cant go wrong with the shells

Brad- Mine have held up very well, despite me abusing them. The heads stay on very tight, much better than other brands I have had in the past, and no issues with paint at all. I would tell you though, get the motion stakes. They will make the shells come to life! I cant wait to get mine out on ice this winter... will look like a train wreck when we are done!

Brad, I have 4 dozen shells and have had no problem at all with the heads. The heads go on real easy and do not come loose. The shells also stack real nice for transporting. I use most of mine on the motion stakes, which I highly recommend. I transport all my flocked heads in the 12 slot decoy bags, this keeps them from getting thrown around the trailer. I have had no paint issues at all, and have used mine alot this season.

Brad, Just to let you know, I'm running full bodies this fall and have not had any problems whatsoever with the heads or paint. (Not even after my son crashed his bike into a shelf holding my decoys causing some to do nose dives from six plus feet into the concrete garage floor)
I've hunted over both the shells and the full bodies this fall and can tell you that you shouldn't be disappointed with either style.
Good luck in your decision process and thanks for thinking of Greenhead Gear.

Thanks guys, That about says it all. Sounds very good to me. Now is the matter of getting those dekes over the border with out giving up an arm and a leg.
Hey Mike, know anyone who whould like some Flambeaus after this season? They are going up for sale for obvious reasons.

Brad, Maybe you and I have to have a garage sale next fall to get rid of some old decoys.
FYI - There is a new Sporting Goods Store in Saskatoon called North Pro Sports that sells Avery gear. I talked to the owner yesterday and it sounds like he may want to get some goose decoys for next year.
Are you still getting afield these days or are the mid-terms getting the best of you?

Whoa, That is big news!! Huge news!! If we could get the GHG decoys from here that would be a life saver. That will save us a ton of cash. How much would you ask for, for second hand Flambeau shells? (standards, and grand magnums) We have to sell them before everyone finds out about GHG!!
The midterms got the best of me these past 2 weeks but I am going out this weekend to redeem myself. If this fog holds they will be flying low.
