Hey guys - season here has come in an end and I've sold my 1448, in search for a bigger boat (2072-2272) for next season. Looking to hear what others are running.

Mike, I'm currently running a 1654 flat john which I completely gutted and had my connections custom fabricate shelves, seats, and storage units. It's a good size for all around, though I know the guys on the big rivers like the long but narrower rigs for getting back in the short water areas. I would not mind going alittle bigger, but as you know that's just more to hide as well, good luck.

Hey guys,
I have 2, a 12' flat bottom Jon-boat and a 14' semi-v/modified hull. Each Alumacraft.

Mike,
We run a 1860 modified tunnnel hull seaark with a 90 horse remote. It handles everything from calm waters, to 4 foot rollers. We hunt the missouri river and at times it can be challenging. The extra 2 feet and 12 inches wider would be nice. The river gets so shallow at times in the fall that it is almost too much boat. I've hauled 3 guys, a dog and 150 goose floaters with plenty of power and handling to pull a skier if brave enough.
When the ice comes the stand by is the 1650 alumicraft with a 25 horse tiller. Carry the motor down to the boat. Slide it across the ice and your hunting. :D

Hey Mike,
I run a War Eagle 1860 Center Console with a 60 HP outboard. Have an Avery Quick-Set Boat Blind and love the combination. It serves me very well: from Maine to Chesapeake Bay.

Mike,
I am currently running a 1546 Alumacraft, with an Avery Quickset and a 23 hp mudbuddy. Absolutly great combo, I can go anywhere I want, even with three people, a fat dog, and three bags of decoys.

Express, 18' and real wide, love that boat and the Yamaha 50 pushes it loaded just fine. Tricked out Quick-Set on her. ;) If I were to change anything I would add 2 more feet in the length. I can never have enough room. I am really happy with the rig.

Thanks for all the response so quickly guys. I have a couple small boats; MOmarsh DP w/ small mud motor and MOmarsh Fatboy with small outboard...so my 1448 wasn't really giving me a whole lot on top of those and up here, the 1448 just doesn't cut it on the Finger Lakes and Lake Ontario late season, so I'm upgrading. Want to make sure I get something of good quality and will hold up to hunting 40 days a season and some summer scouting.

I run a 1756 Xpress w/50 Yamaha. It has a real shallow draft but will handle rough water. That 50 moves it pretty good too. ;) Another thing I like it has a spray in coating from the factory. Side console and gun box. LOTS of flotation to boot and 25" sides.
We had a 14 ft V-hull till we got caught on KY lake with 4 to 6 ft waves. Never happen again.

Mike,
I have used a Lowe Roughneck 1960 for the past 5 seasons. The boat is equipped with a 50 hp outboard and an Avery Quick-Set Waterfowl Blind. The boat has logged thousands of hours year round on the Chesapeake Bay. The combination has performed flawlessly.

Currently running a 1760 Landau with 50 horse 4 stroke. I've priced a 2072 SeaArk...awesome boat. I'm going to put a Pro-drive console steer on it.

Currently running a 1752 custom built Legend Craft, semi V, slick bottom with float pods and 27 hp Beavertail mud motor (long shaft). Love the boat in the shallows and mud, but the mud motor is SLOW! Looking to purchase 40hp tiller to run in open water.
