Which wader jacket and bibs would you guys recommend to the "new to waterfowl hunting person"
I realize it depends on what area you hunt. I live in ky with temps ranging from 20-40 degrees in the winter on average. Just looking for some advise.

My bibs are made by Browning. My wader jacket is made by Mossy Oak. I have more movement in the Mossy Oak Jacket than any other. It's a great jacket . The bibs are fine. Leg length zipper. gortex, thinsulate warmth. Tough. I am extremely hard on clothing. These two pieces of garment I have found to be pretty tough.

Good to have another Ky guy on here. Where are you located?
For me, you won't get any better product and service than you get from Columbia. Their bibs and coats are tough, warm, and waterproof and I think they have about as good of customer service as anyone could ask for. Just my opinion. Good luck.

Thanks guys. I guess I'll try to find the best deal. I'm live in the Beaver Dam, but I work in Bowling Green. The columbias are high, but I guess you get what you pay for. Everyone told me how expensive duck hunting was, but I didnt think it would be this bad.

This won't help much right now, but go over to Uncle Lee's after Christmas or next summer during their big clearance sale. Usually they have lots of great deals going on. I think they had all their Columbia clothing in the original shadowgrass marked down on clearance not too long ago. When new patterns come out, they will often close out anything they had in the old pattern. Worth a shot.

99EMBREY, If you do a lot of wader hunting I would definately add the Avery Neopreme Wader Vest. You will love this vest. I have one that is 3 years old that I will not duck hunt without. I often use it in my layout blinds as well since they are warm and I have easy access to shells. Go see you local Avery retailer and try one out. This years models even have a game carrier on the back. Again, very durable and I wouldn't want to hunt ducks without mine. Welcome to the world of waterfolwing. If you need any help, just shoot us a question and we will be glad to help you out as best we can.

from an economic stand point you might want to check out the new Whitewater stuff, they have an awesome wader jacket in Max4HD that is ripstop, I think they call it rhino, and really nice and afordable.
