I'm not sure if this is the right place to ask this, but I'd like to start getting ready for next year. I got into a lease this year that the other guys started last year. We have 2 ponds, one of which holds water year round. The other is hit and miss. We also have 2 pumps in 2 wells where we flood fields.

I'd like to plant some crops to help matters out some. My main concern would be around the edges of the ponds. I need to get with the guys and talk to them about keeping the crops in with the farmer. I might get some millet planted around the blind to help hide some, but it won't be flooded since it is a little higher (blind is more like a pit).

Any suggestions on what to plant to help things out?

How long is your growing season ? Wild celery works great, if you can get it. Corn is always an option.
