I HAVE JUST PURCHASED WHAT WILL BE MY FIRST DUCKBOAT . IT IS CONSTRUCTED OF A PLASTIC/FIRBREGLASS TYPE MATERIAL BUT IS A LIGHT BEIGE COLOUR AT THE MOMENT . CAN ANYONE RECOMEND ANY BRAND OF PAINT AND ANY PAINTING METHODS OR EFFECTS .I'LL POST PICS WHEN IT'S DONE .

Darryl- clean the boat up as best you can. Then use a sander to scuff it up good. Then apply a primer. Next do you base coat. I usually do at least 2 sometimes 3 coats there. Its going to get scratched and scraped off, so the thicker the better. Now do the other colors to shadow it up. I made my own stencils, but you can also purchase them from several retailers.
One thing I tried to do is look at pictures of the areas we hunted, WHEN we were hunting, and match the colors the best I could. That helped out alot on both of mine that I did.
As far as brands, I am not sure what you have available over there. I used parkers paint for the base, and then spray painted the rest with Krylon flat camo paint. Both boats ended up 4 colors or shades.
