Gentlemen What do you see as the biggest problem facing the hunting industry, you as pro-staffers and Avery as a gear supplier? Thanks

I think the biggest problem we have is ourselves. Hunters are not very well organized when they need to be, and there is often too much infighting amongst those of us who use the outdoors, as can be seen all over the Net. While hunting opportunities still abound, they are diminishing. When they are gone, and when we have given up trying to protect them, we are done. When that happens, all of the hunting products in the world won't do us any good, unless we move! Just a personal opinion.

1. Anti Hunting Groups
2. Loss of habitat/Quality of habitat
We face a two fold battle. We need to combat the millions spent by anti hunting groups to stop our sport as well as stop the critical loss of habitat and begin reclaiming habitat. We also need to improve what habitat we have left.
As you can see, we got our work cut out for us.

I agree completely with Allan and Brett...
Hopefully we pull through and do everything we can to make sure the future of this great sport is a bright one... Our children and grandchildren deserve a chance to experience the magic of the outdoors and hunting as we got to... Their children and grandchildren deserve the same...
I have a sad feeling knowing that slowly but surely things up here in Canada are heading in the wrong direction with regards to our gun rights... You fellas down south are fortunate to have such a powerful group as the NRA and hopefully you do your part to support them so they can protect you from something we were not protected from... Without guns there is no hunting...

1. Loss of "hunting grounds" because of development, resulting in the "urbanization" of wildlife. Cities have become unmanaged refuges for waterfowl and other wildlife.
2. Lack of a synchronized effort to advocate for hunting issues. Allan hit the nail on the head.

Great post Allan! You are exactly right. I have recently experienced a situation of complete lack of respect for fellow hunters. It has lead to the childish bickering, on a message board, that it not only harmful to everyone( do people really think that the anti-hunting groups don't spy on us through these message boards ), but is a total waste of time! I would think we could all just get along and put those efforts into something that will benifit not only our kids but their kids for the future of hunting.
If these anti-groups see us crying and acting like a bunch of jealous kids on our own message boards it just gives them valuable fodder to use against us!!
Just my opinion, but I feel very strong about this and see it tearing us ALL down if we don't clean it up?!
Thanks for posting on the Avery Message Boards.

THANKS The reason I asked, was to inquire whether priorities were same all over North America or regional. Bruce
