blind for field hunting

Hey Guys, What would you recommend for hunting a rice field that the levee's and stubble have been rolled. I know some of your blinds are water resistant, but some of the places have water about 12 to 16 inches deep. Usually I try to set up Goose Decoys on Higher ground and the Duck Decoys in the edge of the water and try to lure the Ducks to me,however as you know that does not always work. Some times they just want to be in a certain spot. I understand a pit would work, but I need something mobile because I have several places like this that get good only 2 or 3 times a year? Thanks.

GP3, I would recommend a Finisher with a neo tub. This would be perfect for what you are talking about, and you would be totally invisible, and waterproof. We used these quite a bit last year in rice fields just as you are talking, with pits nearby with 20dozen decoys. We would move a couple hundered yards with a dozen decoys and proceed to murder them. Thanks Travis, I have not personally looked at the Neo Tub yet. Will it keep me dry in water that is 12 to 16 inches deep?

GP3, here in the home office at Avery® Outdoors, we are only suggesting that the NeoTub™ will be effective in up to 8 inches of water.

Now, whether or not you think you can work with that in your situation is completely up to you. But, after seeing the success that Travis had last year, I can assure you that hunting right along the edge of those rice fields water that is only about 4-6 inches deep is lethal.

Scatter a few dozen of those Greenhead Gear® decoys out in front of you and I hate to think what the results could be! TomR

If you want to get a little more depth out of a Finisher Blind and a Neo Tub you could think about setting up your blind on a wooden pallet or two.
