I think that for the most part all of your decoys are fairly priced. For the detail and quality you can't beat your ducks and the FB's are not bad either. But, it's your goose floaters that seem high to me. I've been looking around and they seem pretty high to me. Am I off here or are they a little high?

Chris- If you like the decoys, they are fairly priced for sure. You get an oversized floater that has arguably the best paint job on the market, flocked heads, and different size and shaped heads to custom build your spread the way you want it. Thanks for choosing GHG!

I started getting rid of 10 doz Bigfoot floaters prior to joining thr Pro-Staff and replaced them with Averys as I sold them. The Averys ride the water like no other and the paint job is unmatched IMHO. If you go 300 yards away from your spread, the flocked heads REALLY set them off. They are definately worth it in my book.

If you think they are a little pricey all i ask is that you actually take the time to see them on the water, unbelievable! They are well worth the money and the best floater on the market.

They are only $10 more dollars per pack than the other companys. Plus they already come pre flocked (which is worth $1000 if you have flocked anything yourself :D ) also they are bigger and ride the water way better. In my opinion they are priced just right and I'm supprised they arn't more expensive.

I'm sure the detail and quality of your floaters is amazing, just like all of your decoys. But all of the other decoys you make seem to be at the same price or less than that of all the other companys out there. From Cabelas: half a dozen carry-lite floaters $72.99, G&H floaters half dozen $99.99, Herters model 96 floaters and the model 92SG suc goose $59.99 for a half dozen, and if size matters the Herters magnum 92 floaters are $69.99.
I am by no means trying to pick a fight or make anyone mad, but the price just seems steep to me.
Once again you guys are doing a great job on the detail and quality of your products. Thanks
Chris

Chris,

Welcome to the Avery Message Board. You are correct. Avery/GHG has become the leader in the waterfowling industry by offering superior products at a reasonable price. In my opinion, our decoy is by far the best goose floater in the market. It is an Over-Sized Floater with flocked heads. This makes the GHG Over-Sized Floater a good bargain, in my opinion. There is one key ingredient that is driving up retail prices and that is oil prices. This is where Over-Sized Floaters take a beating. Plastic is a petroleum based product. If you have never seen a GHG Over-Sized Goose Floater, it is a big decoy that utilizes a lot of plastic in its production. Also, the size of the floaters make them more expensive to ship because the size of their boxes. The least amount of boxes that can fit on a container, the more expensive the product will become to ship. I appreciate your opinion and feedback. The opinions and feedback of consumers like you has made Avery/GHG the leader in the waterfowling industry. If you have not done so, check out the GHG Over-Sized Floaters at your closest Avery/GHG Dealer. In my opinion, they are a great bargain. Good luck this hunting season and post up some pictures.

Chris,
We appreciate your insight on the pricing of various decoys but honestly any of the decoys you mentioned, do not compare to the GHG floater. The detail, natural head posistions, and paint scheme of GHG is unmatched by any other decoy out there. There is an old adage, "you get what you pay for" and this is a prime example of that.GOOD LUCK!

Cost vs.Value: $10 more per pack= $2.50 per deke. Electrostaticly applied flocked heads that are far more durable than aftermarket applictaion, better paint and more "alive" body styles. Gallon of gas and a piece of bubble gum=$2.50. More birds in your boat=PRICELESS!

Really if you look at the big big picture GHG decoys do cost more because you will be purchasing more shotshells and a bigger freezer!

Thanks for bringing up the discussion Chris! Have a Great Fall Season!

i also think that they are a little steeply priced, but i deal with it and if you put those dekes on the water, they look exactly like a real goose, i took a picture of a goose in my dekes one day, and i had a hard time figuring out which one was the real one and which ones were the dekes! i am not trying to make you or anyone mad, but for the detail and realism that these decoys put out i am willing to pay an unlimited amount for em! they pull birds in like no other! i love all the avery and ghg products and won't purchase any other!!!KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!!! P.S. i just received 1 doz full body goose dekes after coming back from basic training!!!

It is true that the GHG goose floaters sit the water better than the others, but what is also important is that they also ride much better in RUNNING water. We hunt the Platte River and the current is always a factor when we consider floaters. The GHGs are great for river rigs and they are better looking than any of the others. Who wouldn't be willing to pay more for a superior product. And I'm not even on the pro-staff.

I know that I will be adding some of these to my spread this year. Last year we killed some geese at some resting ponds and the GHG dekes helped us out a lot.

Frank is absolutely right when he says that they handle the current well and run very true.

Frank,

Thanks for the support and for the insight into river hunting and utilizing the decoys. See you in a month or so!

Are you going to make it to the Grand?
