This past weekend Avery Pro-Staffers from the Atlantic Flyway met for a few days of product training and brainstorming on Maryland's Eastern Shore.
It was an enjoyable and productive couple of days and I wanted to post this photograph of Avery Pro-Staffers (L-R) Mark Hoke/Maryland, Jason Connellee/Maryland, Joe Williams/Maine, Michael Bard/New York enjoying some "down-time" after class.

As you can see in the picture we were in the presence of a magnificent angler. Just look at the way Mark holds his fishing pole... It’s an extension of his arm!

Just for the record...that fish was the bait, Jason was demonstrating the proper way to put your bait on the hook. It's a shame, but Rob's camera ran out of batteries just after we started getting into the 10 pounders.

What a good weekend. Yeah....the fishin' outing was a success. Joe, any time you want me to teach you that patented "lure cleaning" move, let me know.
Should have tied the palomar knot !!!!!!!!

Here in Minnesota, a fish that size would be used as "chum." I hope you guys brought food, cuz you sure can't fish.

Hey, I worked the water HARD for that fish. Some serious angling stratgies were being displayed on the fishing grounds that evening.

Jas--Don't let them get to you! I understand that while you were baling the big ones - some of the other pro staff were doing what they do best.

Dave,
Thanks for posting that picture... Now Maggie knows I am not deathly allergic to dish soap like I've been telling her for years!
That's ok though. I just hope you got a lot of white spray paint in your pit bag, because painting those Brant white might be as close as you get to Eiders this season!
P.S. anyone get a picture of Dave H. Brushing his teeth???

What a fun weekend, I can't tell you the last time I laughed so hard. We need to get Mark Hoke signed up for the Blue Collar Comedy Tour! Them stories will have anyone rolling on the floor. What a great bunch of guys on this team, the diversity of these guys is unmatched, Avery has compiled one heck of a team, and that's just one region!! It is a good thing Rob, Rusty and Mark had the meals planned out, because if we had to rely on the fishing for food.......we would of been in deep trouble!
So Joe, I don't have to stop in Jersey on the way up? That should knock some time off the trip!
On a serious note- GUYS, THE NEW LINE UP OF DECOYS ARE FLAT OUT BAD***! ALTHOUGH THE CAN'S ARE MY FAVORITE, THE BLACKS ARE RIGHT THERE TOO, AND FOR YOU DRYFIELD GUYS, WAIT TILL YOU GET A LOAD OF THE FULLBODY MALLARDS, OH MY GOODNESS! MAKES A MAN WANT TO UP AND MOVE!!
A big thanks again to Rob, Rusty, and Mark for making everything perfect.
