I've recently purchased a 2005 SBE II. I'm considering getting a Wad Wizard choke tube, .700" 12 Ga., which allegedly opens up for "near shooting, at ranges from 25-35 yards”. Most of my hunting is upland birds and field waterfowl over decoys; within I’d say 35 yards. According to Wad Wizard’s web page, this choke tube is rather versatile, “whether you are shooting upland game over pointers, or you are busting mallards in the timber, this choke tube will deliver deadly patterns at ranges from 20 to 35 yards.” Does anyone have competent experience with Wad Wizards choke tubes, is this advertising hype or is this for real and/or are there better choices?

I like patternmasters myself but that is just me.
Shot my buddies SBE with one in it a couple times this season. Straight up smokes the ducks and rolls the geese. I was the first guy up on a flock of geese hovering at about 10 yards out in front and got the first 2 shots off and puffed them two. Also blew off a mallards bill and shot a head off. Can't speak for Wad Wizards but I can for the Patternmasters.

I shoot an SBE II with nothing but WW chokes.....I would assume you are referring to the SWAT12 tube. Well, I had great succes with that tube over decoys. The tube seems very effective / proficient out to about 30 yards. If you are using 3.5" shells...you could probably push it to 35 yards. I use the SWAT12 tube when we hunt our smaller duck holes (small swamps, sloughs, fooded redbrush pockets, etc.). The tube works perfect for these areas as most are not more the 25 - 30 yards wide. Now, the SUPREME tube is where it is at....you WILL "punish" a few decoying ducks, but I GUARANTEE that your cripple numbers will plummet and your effective / proficient range will exceed 40 yards. We usually do not pass shoot birds, but found ourselves doing just that once last year. Let me tell you, this tube absolutely crushed birds out to 45 - 50 yards. I mean it crushed them STONE DEAD!!!
DRT - Dead Right There!!! I am a believer....for sure!!!
Look at it this way....you buy the tube(s), pattern them with the loads of your choice, if you like them, keep them....if you don't like them - return them within 30 days and get your money back!!! Pretty hard to beat that!!!
Give Lorie at WW a call - she'll hook you up!!!!!

Thanks for the words of encouragement regarding the WW Supreme. I shoot a Benelli Nova and I'm hoping this will help icrease the DRT numbers. I'm hoping this will also help with Snows this winter.
I was so angry last year when we had to resort to pass shooting in the late season. Canadas would come in 20-30 yards high, make 2-3 circles, and then fly right overhead and keep on going. I shot a handfull where first shot they crumpled then regained their wings and shot them a second time and puffed feathers and they still kept going. One I stared at as it was flying away and my dog looked at me like "how am supposed to get that if you don't put it on the ground first?" At 400 yards away it started to drop and then just enveloped and splashed down. I hope the WW Supreme will help. I know I was hitting them, just not hard enough.

The tube I was loking at is this one, (as quoted from their web page),"TERRORIZE THE BIRDS WITH SRM'S "TERROR" CHOKE TUBES".

No problem for the words of encouragement...I always like to support the products I truly believe in.
As for the Terror Tubes....I have direct experience with them. I have "heard" that those tubes through some pretty incredible patterns.
If I were you, I would call Lorie at WW and see if the 30 day money back guarantee goes for the Terror tubes as well. If so, you got nothing to lose brother....give them a shot...literally!!!!
Let us know how they pattern!!!
