I was wondering what geese will when its snowing. Today we went out and hunted in the snow and did great, tommoro calls for 7-14 inches of snow. Do geese still fly when its snowing? We have a field 1/2 mile from a small refuge where geese have been the last week every day. They where there this evening do you think they will fly out tommoro morning if it's snowing.
Thanks,
Zach

In my experience it seems that snow messes with geese a bit. It affects the way they think. There has got to be something to this because man they are a lot easier to kill when it is snowing out! Just make sure you walk around in the spread kicking up the ground and keep a broom or two handy.

Thanks guys for the info. I wasnt sure what they where going to do. We went out at 9 and they started flying in small flocks about 10 am. We had 8 hunters and ended up taking 21 honkers it was awesome to see how bad the geese wanted to get down out of the snow they paid no attention to us. As for decoys we used a 12 full bodies with the feet off and 2 doz GHG shells with sleeper heads and they worked great.

Another thing, we had many small flocks of lessers come in and land with our ghg shells. We wouldnt shoot them as we where waiting on the big boyz. They would just walk up to the deks and set down and sleep in with them it was awesome. One time we had about 15 lessers content sleeping with our decoys. Getting ready to buy me some more Deks.
