I know snow goose calling is talked about very much here, but what do you guys use for a snow goose call? I have a Primos Shaved Reed but I am looking to get a new one. Any suggestions?

That is the same call I use. I don't like it very much, but I never really hunt snow geese that much, maybe once or twice a year. If I was you I would look into the Foiles Tundra Saver.

The Foiles call is a very good call. I also use a delrin call made from Heartland that works really well. RNT came out with a good call last year as well.

Thanks guys, Foiles eh? I love using the Zink calls. Maybe they will come out with something one day.

How much money do you want to spend??
I've tried about all of em from the 40.00 dollar Snow Prince from Southern Game calls to 125.00 Acrylic Gaston and 150.00 Tundra Saver by Foiles.
As far as sound The Sean Mann Whiteout, Snow Prince, Basin Abomination Snow and my I5-KLR Cackler call from Bill Saunders,(MAKES GOOD SNOWGOOSE SOUNDS ALSO) are the best as far as highs lows . The BA Snow and I5-KLR have the best highs, lows and murmurs. More complete calls for snows IMO.

The Haydel mouth diaphramn call is the best I have heard or used. The ground murmur is phenominal and in a fog is deadly. Only problem is calling "other" geese with it in your mouth. My problem was taking it of my mouth out to call specks with, then with dirty, bloody hands keeping it clean for next time. If you can use a turkey mouth call, it is easy to pick up.
Good Luck, Jason

I picked up a nice little call from TruTone
Snow/Speck sounds are great out of them, nice to have a call you can cross up the snow/speck sounds in the same series of calling.

No Jed, but the last straw was when I dropped it in the pit blind. Lord know what I would have picked up from the bottom of that pit. You know how nice and clean those pits get after several months of the season.

The Tundra Saver is a great call, I use it every Sept. on those Sask. whites, and they eat it up. It is very loud, and produces the all important murmurs very well.
