Couple quick questions and then i'll stop boring everyone:

I have a good digital camera Nikon Coolpix(4.0+MP), but am looking for something to take the next step in photography while hunting. In doing so what are you guys using out there in the fields to take photos, for example like the ones Jim Thompson is taking. Digital SLR with which lenses? What do you recommmend? Wide lenses or telephoto? My regular dig. camera is good for still photo's, but not good for any type of 'in action' shots.

For the zink guys. What is the smaller camera you guys use for your videos? Any recommendations are more than welcome.

Well, thanks for the help ahead of time!

zach

I have a digital Rebel XT. I love it and have had a lot of fun with it. THe lenses i have for it include a 2x teleconverter and a 75-300 canon usm lens. That works really well for what i do and i get some great results.

Zach,

I too started into the world of digital with a Nikon CoolPix. It takes great shots, but since it's not quick enough for the action type photos, I've now added a Nikon D70s. It's great and uses all the lenses that I have for my SLR cameras that I use to shoot slides.

As for lenses, I'd start with a good telephoto lens as it can get you up close and personal in short order.

I've been doing some research on cameras, and my next digital will definitely have a burst mode, like a motor driven SLR. Those action shots will be easier to get I think.
