what can anyone tell me about goose calls by Foiles Migraters. the Strait meat honker. Are they good calls, comparable to Zink's?

CGB, very good call. Great quality, solid/well built and easy to blow with just about any color you could think of. I dont think you could go wrong with either call, Zink or Foiles.

Foiles has a great selection of goose calls. Acrylics, wood, poly's, competition inserts...
You name it and he makes it. One of my SMH's is 4 years old and works like the day I got it.

Jeff makes an awesome call. Real easy to blow and very goosey. I personally would go with one with the longer flared insert, but that's just my taste and opinion. All sound great.

All of the Strait Meat goose calls are top quality. There is a variety of styles and materials offered. They are very easy to use and have a great sound. Customer service after the sale is also top notch. Give the shop a call and let them help you out with choosing whats right for you. 1-866-834-3373

Troy, if I didn't know better, I'd say you are a Foiles Pro-Staffer ;)

My final question is "Which is a better honker call? Zink's SR-I or the Strait Meat Honker?"

CGB, that's like asking which ammo is better; Remington, Winchester, or Federal! They are both great calls, it just boils down to personal preference. I personally use a Foiles SMH and a Cackler. I have a Zink SR-1, but I like the Foiles calls better. After actually having met Jeff Foiles, I can tell you he is a great person as well as the maker of a great line of calls. That's why I said what I did to Troy, I know he's on Jeff's ProStaff :D

Well thanks for the info. I agree, thats kind of a question without an answer. That is the same call combo I was thinking about getting, the SMH and the Cackler, but to get those calls up here to Canada is going to cost serious cash.

I like the combo...gives you different sounds. I even mix them up working the same bunch of geese. The different tones really seem to get the geese excited when they are coming in.
