i saw my first cackler today, wasn't a baby, because it hung by itself when the rest were feeding, lost i guess! that is the first cackler i have seen my entire life in montana, we usually get the big honks and a couple giant honks!!!! hunting season opener is on Oct.4, how about where you are from?
