Hey Mac,
You must have been very proud! My young lab Abby made her first goose retrieves on Thanksgiving morning. She picked up 7 out of 9 birds and it made my Thanksgiving all the more memorable!

That's a great looking Lab! The picture was from opening day in KS. Since then it seems that I don't have my camera with me or don't have it out when more moments happen. I missed a Canada retrieve the next weekend. Here is another quetion. I am having trouble with my dog chasing birds that sit out of range. He will just bust out without being sent. Any suggestions?

Rob,
It is good to have great shooters to pile the geese up for Abby. :D

Rob:
There is nothing like a young lab weaving her way thru the Greenheads, proud as anything with her first honker!

Nice pics guys. While far from her first duck this is one of the few action shots I've gotten to come out worth a darn.

Nice pics Troy! She looks right at home in that dog blind. That will be the next step in my training process.
Here is the picture that doesn't want to come up anymore on my previous post. http://img.villagephotos.com/p/2004-12/905721/cisco4.jpg
I don't normally shoot hens - but it was going to be his first so I made the sacrifice.

Troy,
Nice looking shot also. I know how hard it is to capture those action shots with a std. digital camera.

Yeah, out in SODak this year I would've had a few good pics but nothin seemed to turn out. Really disappointing, but the memory lives forever. Nothing like seeing all the hard work pay off!!!
