Avery Pro-Staffer Rusty Hallock wins 2005 New Jersey State Goose Calling Championship

The 23rd Annual Ocean County Decoy and Gunning Show was held on Saturday and Sunday September 24th and 25th in Tuckerton New Jersey. The show pays tribute to New Jersey's waterfowling heritage, past and present. The show features a variety of contests such as decoy carving, retriever demonstrations, skeet shooting from a Sneakbox, and the New Jersey State Duck and Goose Calling Contest. Avery Pro-Staffer Rusty Hallock competed against twelve other contestants to win the New Jersey State Goose Calling Contest. The goose calling contest is an open contest that brought competitors from several states in the Mid-Atlantic region. This is Rusty's first win after several top five finishes during his first two years of competitive goose calling. Rusty was using Zink's new Money Maker to capture his first victory.
