Avery Pro-Staff Member Bob Chaplin went back to high school this past Wednesday. Not to learn this time but to teach.

St. Benedictine High School’s Cooking Club advisor, Mrs. Pymm invited him to teach a class preparing and cooking wild game. Being the avid waterfowler that he is, Bob jumped at the chance.

For the class, Bob prepared Wild Goose Taco Turnovers. It’s a recipe he actually stole from anther Pro-Staff Member but he enjoys making it because he can use any kind of meat that is ground. Mrs. Pymm said, “The guys were a little surprised to find out that they were going to have meat from a Canada goose.”

Bob said, “I know the class liked the dish because I had to raffle off the last four turnovers.”

In addition to raffling off the food, Bob raffled off Avery Neoprene CD holders and Neo-Tumblers. Mrs. Pymm, and her class as well as Bob thank Avery.

While cooking, Bob talked about how healthy wild game is as well as explaining the proper way to clean and freeze the meat. At the end, the whole class asked if Bob would come back with another wild game dish next week.
Bob thanks Avery for their donations as well as Mrs. Pymm and her cooking class for the opportunity to share his love for the outdoors and to share his culinary talents.
