Avery Pro-Staffer Scott Threinen of Mantorville, Minn.,along with Kelley Powers of Union City, Tenn., combined to win the World Team title at the U.S. Open Goose Calling Championships held last Sunday at Agricenter International.

Winners in the other divisions were as follows:
U.S. Open Junior Goose (ages 13 and Under): 1. Michael Ritter, Carterville, Ill.; 2. Blake Moore, Ballard County, Ky.
U.S. Open Junior (ages 14-17): 1. Mike Smothers, Marion, Ill., 2. Nick Cottrell, Hopkinsville, Ky., 3. Ryan Beckemeyer, Marion, Ill.
U.S. Open Novice Goose: 1. Scott Madison, Shattuck, Ill., 2. Ryan Beckemeyer, Marion, Ill., 3. Blake Moore, Ballard County, Ky.
U.S. Open Goose: 1. Hunter Grounds, Johnston City, Ill., 2. Kyle Rinella, Marion, Ill., 3. Mike Smothers, Marion, Ill.
In the sanctioned duck-calling contest held the previous day, Brandon Sinkey of Judsonia, Ark., took first-place in the solo division over Blake Haynes of White Hall, Ark.
In the team division, David St. John and Tyler Merritt of Conway, Ark., finished just ahead of Robb Watts and Kent Cullum of Beebe, Ark.
Brent Calhoun, of Des Arc, Ark., won the junior division, slipping past Davis Cocke of Somerville.
Congrats to Scott and Kelley and the rest of the callers on their accomplishments!
