Well, this weekend was the weekend of the Tennessee juvenille duck hunt.
Me and my buddy Trent went to a local pond about 15 minutes north of my house.
We had never been to this place before and didn't know what to expect of the blind or the location.
Well, I had seen a few geese (3) using this pond so I decided to bring along a couple of my new GHG Fullbodies.
And Trent recently purchased a dozen of the Cabela's Real-Image Mallards by GHG.
So, we get our spread set up and have 4 mallards come in before shooting time. After shooting hours got here, we jumped them up and knocked down the 2 drakes!
Here is the pond (about 2 acres) you can't see it all in pic:

Here is a pic of the 2 geese I put out on the bank. They are on motion stakes and look extremely realistic.

We were sitting on the bench in the back seat of the blind. the action has since turned cold and we were just hoping to have another chance. In front of the blind a hear a whrrr!
The next visitor of the morning was a drake redhead. Dropped the front on the blind, and he was taken down with 1 shot.
It was about 9:30 now, and we had some rather unexpected visitors.

About 10:15 2 gadwalls come in and sit down. Three shots and they are both "waving at the sky".
Man this is getting better all the time!
We are sittin there eatin and drinkin coffee (hot chocolate for me!) and see one lone gaddie come in. SPLASHH! BAM! !I didn't realize Trent had already seen it and was waitin on it! LOL "That's a way to skillet shoot em!" I replied.
He hunted until 11:30 with no more takers. We ended Saturday with 5 drakes. 2 mallards, 3 gadwalls, 1 Redhead.
Unfortunately, due to taking so many goofy pictures of us, cows, donkeys, and the inside of the blind, the cold-weather helped to kill the camera battery! I will have some pictures of the Red, when Trent gets it mounted though.
