Who makes your favorite turkey calls?

I like the Knight & Hale Ol' Lady Hen, as well as Woodhaven calls.

Woodhaven are top-notch IMO.

I use a good slate call (Cody Call) to locate/shock the bird first. Any good sounding slate or glass call will work. I use only Cane Creek Mouth calls to finish them off. If you have never tried a Cane Creek mouth call I would try one. I use a three and four reed call, very raspy and it gets that old boy fired up, it works well for me! Here are a couple pics of my good friend Ron Snider(One of the best turkey hunters I know)and me with turkeys we tagged teamed together. There is also one of my first guided hunts which ended in my cousins first bird. Best of luck, T.J.

T.J.,
Have you ever tried Cane Creeks pro custom slate/glass calls? Just wondering what your thoughts were on those as well.

Chris, No I have not tried one. But I am sure they are a good call given my experience with his mouth calls. Best of luck, T.J.

I use an Oak Ridge glass call, oak ridge box, and mouth call. I like the two sided design on the box because I can gobble on it.

Bob, They are a good mouth call. They get better the more you use them too. I've turned about eight guys now over to cane creek calls and they all love them. Best of luck this spring and when you bag that big old tom post up a picture and the story. Best of luck, T.J.

I use Quaker Boy Strike Three mouth calls... they are the stuff. I've tried other brands but i learned on Quaker boy and with these I can achieve the biggest range when I'm calling.

Primos True Double and Primos Deadly Double mouth calls and my old Lynch's Fool Proof Hen Box Call that has been sat on and busted twice and glued back together but just keeps sounding better the more it gets wet and broken.

I have always used PRIMOS and Cody, but recently I bought the pack of mouth calls from Quaker Boy that have a smaller pallate, and they are awsome. The roof of my mout isn't very wide and these calls fit in my mouth muck easier. Im pretty deadly with them, ask the turkeys!
